Hi , I was planning to get some seeds of Lotus Komarovian which should be hardy to -45 , but it`s not the pretty of all , I had some experience with renkon bough from an asian shop (not cold hardy) but no luck in finding one.
Has anyone grow any other cold hardy lotus ? Any suggestion where to get any?

    Hi Sal,
I'm not sure where you would purchase these cold hardy lotus seeds, but you may get some help if you contact an aquatic plant supplier/retailer. I do know that most Lotus are cold hardy but they don't like long periods of cold and really need the warmth to give them big juicy rhizomes to help them get through the Winter.
    Regards Justin

    Hi Justin .
Thank you so much , I `ve actually bough some lotus seeds online and after I`ve even managed to find a Komarovian seeds supplyer , they are growing fine but they not frost hardy , apparently they go dormant in winter , I should manage get them trough next winter .
I`m 2 weeks in my growing lotus and the seeds have already the first leave out....I will publish some picture asap.

I`ve started on the window sill , but they grow very slowly , soon as I moved in the propagator they double up in size in a day. I was planning to move them back on the window untill the 3rd leaves appear , then pot them and move them in the greenhouse , i personally prefer stronger plants then many plants .

Right OK thanks, warmth appears to be best, at least at first.
