It certainly is beautiful! There's a white-flowered one too, and some other pretty, delicate species and their hybrids :)

I have the white one. Been going strong for 25 yrs, despite being moved twice, which, apparently they do not like as the roots are brittle. The foliage is just starting to get going. Flowers won’t be far behind. :yay:

So lovely to have such a delicate looking plant that the slugs completely ignore!

Bleeding Hearts are lovey. I have 2 red and 2 white ones.

I was just looking at some very pretty white ones in B&Q this evening, but weirdly they had no labels or prices on them. Not even a barcode.

I love this plant, all colours, but in my heavy clay they die. I may consider one in raised planter or pot.

They are nice plants for springtime, I'm glad you enjoy them @Will Hay ... I've got one down by the little road that passes the bottom of my garden, and last week I bought another for the 'main' garden.
I used to have a white one but it has died, so I'll replace it when I see one.

I think I have lost mine, a white one, must have an rummage and see if there are any signs of life. It flowered last year but much smaller

I've had both, but find the 'alba' ones - which I prefer - don't do as well as the pink and white spectabilis. No idea why, but they usually give up and die after a couple of years. I'll keep trying. Yours looks lovely, @Will Hay

Lovely, elegant plants, and with so many fascinatingly descriptive 'common' names - 'Ladies in the bath', 'Dutchman's Britches', 'Heart of a Lieutenant'

Don't particularly like Dicentra spectablis; however Dicentra formosa "oregana Langtrees" I do like and it's close relative Dicentra eximia.

I have them as well. The spring leaves are just gorgeous. :) Plus, they spread nicely. :blue thumb:

I agree with @NigelJ that I don't particularly like them, bit it's mainly because I don't like the name bleeding heart.
