My husband is not known for his present buying in any way shape or form, so you can understand the shock I had when he walked in with a present for me.
It was the most beautiful RSPB book about birds.
All 488 pages plus a birdsong cd.
The book is The RSPB complete Birds of Britain and Europe .
    I love it.

How lovely Lyn. I know someone that had a birdsong tape (before cd's!). It was very good but i couldn't tell the difference between some , actually a lot, of the bird songs. You have to have a good ear. Bet the pics in the book are great too plus all the usual great info from RSPB.

    Enjoy it.

    cheers

How we have moved on borrowers
This C.D can be played in the DvD on the T.V .
Every song and call is numbered this shows on the T.V.
There is a list in the book which gives you the page number of the corresponding bird.
    The details are wonderful.
    It tells everything about them.
So while I listen to the call / song I can read about the bird.
    So clever. :D
    Rosa I won't hold my breath :D

It is the same one I have Lyn (I was looking at it an hour ago), it is a fantastic reference book but not exactly a pocket guide. :D
Mine is a couple of years old but didn't have a CD with it.
There are other smaller books but this is the most comprehensive and it is definitely a book worth having if you want to get to know birds better. [IMG]
