Made a cold frame

    My Lucky Day :dbgrtmb: Went to a leading Truck Supplier last night early hours of this morning spotted these smallish fold away pallets the type that fold away and lock togther they are hinged at each corner asked if i could have a couple and said take as manny as you like only needed 2 they will look lovely painted Green just going to make a hinged lift up top and hey presto Iv got a cold frame for the side of the Green House :thumbsup: Raked up all the garden today preped the lawn ready for seeding turnd over all the borders the garden is looking as loved as we all love Em again!!! I Planted some boston ivy in front of the folly this morning and a acer platnem I Hope i aint done it too early?? The pots they where in where damaged by frost so put them in and am hopeing for the best i am so excited at my 1st attempt at growing from seed looking forward to the week end PLAY TIME AWATES :dbgrtmb:

      You were right to get the plants in now, it's definitely not to early, if anything it's best to get them in before April really, that's when the ground really starts to dry out.

      Play time awaits me to this weekend, going to get a lot of my seeds underway. Enjoy yourself! :)

        It would help if you could angle the pallet/frame towards the Sun. Possibly by adding wedge shaped side panels to the sides. Cheers, Tony.

          I made a cold frame though I only had double glazing units for the glass lids
          quite heavy
          Solution, went to car scrappies and bought hatch back gas struts 2 for £1 :)

          now one finger lifts them up
