Oh how I wish I was going to the Chelsea Flower show,I know some of you are.

Just had a little taster on tv.........I do envy them preping and last minute finishing touches dispite the awful weather.

I know it is all somewhat unreal, almost like a gardening adventure and the ideas are allready filling my head and looking forward to many more happy hours viewing. Also looking forward to some of your points of view and some lucky people who have actualy been there..... Maybe its just me, but I have always been turned off by Chelsea. It seems a bit snobby and designer led. Can never see why gardening should be competitive - all those medals etc. Horticultural Crufts!

So hopefully they will have different presenters to last year then? ;) ;)

Don't mind the Latin, makes me feel like a proper gardener! :D :D

P.S. I wish I had done it at school though like Mrs DAG, but poor old girl has forgotten it all now! :D

I won't be going to Chelsea again. The last time my braces broke, my trousers fell down, and I got a highly commended for my dried arrangements. Ooooh, the indignity!! :D :D

    oooeeerrr!!!! the mind boggles!!!!!!!!! ;)

can't make Chelsea this year - every year I drop a HUGE hint along the lines of "I would REALLY like to go to Gardeners World Live for my birthday", but always falls on deaf ears....

has anyone been? and which one is better? Hampton court of GW live???? 'coz I'm tempted this year ....

I would love to go to Chelsea - just to see the plants, and arrangements and gardens. But will make do on TV and indeed on line on the BBC site - for me the numbers of people, even on members day are just tooooooo much.

Whilst it may once have been a kinda snobby affair, I don't think it is now (think of the 20year old who was awarded silver for his courtyard gaden - his first Chelsea - totally overcome. The displayers do not compete against each other - the medals are awarded by the RHS against its set criteria. There have been some fabulous wild flower gardens.
