    :( I was shocked to hear on the Today program this morning about the loss of around 131 species of Magnolia in the wild.....!!! :eek: :(

    [​IMG] The year before last I had 6 seeds germinate from my Magnolia tree, shame I can't remember which one it is :rolleyes: they are now nearing 2'.... [​IMG] So I hope they are lucky & are able to restore some of the native species back into the wild... [​IMG] [​IMG]

    I am shocked, but on reflection not surprised by your first post MF. :( Good news about your seeds. I tried and failed before with some I liberated from a whopper of a magnolia at St Fagans in Wales.

    I took this quickly today on my walk, we have some large magnolia around the village.

    This is my poor specimen, it has only 2 flowers and this one is open! It is only a baby though so it will grow :D
