    :( I have a normally beautiful tree, but it has been ruined by the frosts & winds we have had. It is such a shame as it looked a picture. There is another flush of blooms coming so will see what all my pics look like of it later & will post some them. The nicer ones of course.... ;) :D

    I hope you get some more flowers MF. Magnolias do have the most unsuitable blooms for the weather that is around when they flower. This one over the road had a major prune last autumn. Seems to have responded well.

    There are loads of magnolias around the village mostly white or pink. Some really large established ones too in the tudor part of the village.

    [​IMG] Ooh I say that is a little beauty BM...! :D I totally agree about their blooms. Iwas thinking that exact same thing yesterday as I looked at mine in the sunshine. Made you feel quite sad really.. :( I have a really busy day but will post some pics later.. :rolleyes: :D

    *** I know I said I would post these last week BM.. Still better late than never...!! This is my tree at various stages of flower, including the frost damage....

    So starting in Feb, these were the early buds.. I think the colours vary so much because I have taken allot of them looking skywards...
