I have a magnolia I bought as a wee tiny shoot in tescos abou 10 yrs ago. It's big and bushy and the leaves come out yellow in spring but respond well when fed. It flowers in the autumn for some reason. I wonder how temperamental these trees can be?
They sometimes take a few years before flowering if I recall. This one did not produce any flowers until three years ago.

I have a lovely magnolia tree in the front garden, don't know what the name is as it was inherited when we moved in last year. In the spring it was beautiful full of flowers looked lovely. Now I have noticed it is coming into flower again quite a few buds opening up not as many as before. Is this normal or just the mixed weather we have been having? never known this before has anyone else?
