[IMG] The Magnolia blooms are just starting to burst open.. I think they are beautiful & delicate flowers when open.. These are just starting & I will post more pics as they progress. It is a little difficult taking them against the bright sky, but here we are.. [IMG]

Smashing pics Marley.I`ve just done a google and some species of Magnolia found in fossils can be dated back 95 million yrs!!They`ve survived Ice Ages!I think that is amazing. [IMG]

[IMG] Well last nights frost didn't make any difference, but it was fairly light.. There are plenty of buds all at different stages so I am hopeful it will put on its usual good show... Will post some more pics as it progresses... [IMG] I think that is amazing that they have found traces of magnolias dating that far back too Elaine... [IMG] Wonderful as they really are superb trees full stop.... [IMG] [IMG]

I'm amazed, MF- lovely photos .My magnolias' buds are only just beginning to fatten up, including Stellata which is usually early.
