    Stunning picture Whis4ey, one of our most beautifuly coloured birds especially when the sunshine catches them.

    Excellent photograph W!

    The detail is incredible. The more I look at photographs of our birds, the more I marvel at their beauty and intricacy of design, and yet how delicate they are.

    Nature is amazing!

    Excellent picture, and all credit to you, but what sort of kit is needed to take a picture like that?

    Beechleaf
    Taken with a Canon 350 digital SLR and a 70-300 zoom lens through the kitchen window
    I was lucky here because this time he sat quite still (usually I only get a split second to take a pic) and thus the detail is all there
    It was then touched up a little with Photoshop

    Thanks for the info. Now I have to decide whether to invest in such kit.
