I am quite an experienced gardener but not really with veg. I grew Mange Tout (sugar snap peas) last year with quite good results and had a few "seeds" left over from last year so planted some early in my greenhouse to get an early crop. This has worked well and the family has been somewhat Mange Touted out for the last 3 weeks..."oh god not these again" has been heard a lot a supper time, ungrateful so and sos! I have missed picking a few pods which now resemble ordinary pea pods with quite large peas inside and wondered if it's worth letting the pods go yellow and dry so as to save the seeds to use next year rather than buy seed. Is this a good idea or am I better just to buy seed again?

Depends if any other varieties of peas are growing nearby silu. Peas readily cross-pollinate so if you or your neighbours are growing other types I wouldn't bother keeping them as they won't come true.
