I have had 2 pickings from my mangetout now :)

They are growing in a large container and I have been meticulous about watering and feeding, but I notice the bottom leaves are yellowing and some even browning. The upper ones are ok. Is this normal at this stage of the season ?

    Thank you
    Blue
    :)

I think so BlueRoses. Just pick off the yellow and brown leaves as a matter of garden hygiene. It shouldn't affect your crop which is well underway.

If you keep picking them it will prolong their flowering, however if you let any pods mature the plants think their work is done and will die off. They don't keep producing for very long anyway so I grow a couple of crops of peas (normal and mangetout) in succession.
