An odd question again but ferret droppings...can they be used on a vegetable garden or not?

I would not want to use any droppings from carnivors. Animals that feed on vegetation alone would be fine.
I don't know what you feed ferrets on, but if it is meat or meat products my advice is not to even compost it.

Can't say for sure, only that memories as a kid with the ferrets we used for rabbiting is that it stank to high heaven. And we had about eight.
As I recall the waste was burnt on the weekly ash fire along with the soiled straw bedding then before every autumn dig the ashes were scattered.
