I have been really busy for the last couple of days. I have been in my polyt, potting up loads of things. So much so that I have gone through 10 x 60ltr bags of compost. There is absolutely no room left in the polyt at all now. I'm really pleased with how I have got on. Even all the rose cuttings I took last year have rooted. As have the Clematis cuttings. I can't get any of the pots out into the garden or onto the drive yet as the weather is so appalling. The plants are that much more advanced to their outdoor mates, that if I put any out now it will certainly knock them back. I keep inventing new shelving. Old coffee tables, book shelves, and even my outdoor platform is doubling up as a plant stand. Still not long til the frosts have gone........I hope.

I've been busy too. I've got a new greenhouse this year, so I've been planting loads of seeds both in the house and in the greenhouse to see which take best - seems like those indoors are germinating quicker!

The new veggie beds are dug over and ready for crops - only got oniony things out so far - garlic and suchlike. Some flower cuttings are in the coldframe and overwintered stuff (fuchsias, pels etc.) in the greenhouse.

    So much to do..........so exciting..........

as you can see there is no room to put anything else, I can only just move up and down to water.
I spent a weekend writing out 1300 labels for all the pots  . I still have some left to do.

I take it you'll not be going away on holiday this Easter compostee. [IMG]

Do you use the tunnel to grow things to maturity or is it mainly for starting off plants?

Compostee - thats a wonderful size - I am most envious. I hope you have enough room outdoors to plant all those things out.

HOLIDAY?????  i just looked up the meaning. I don't have one of those ever. I can't find anywhere, where i can take 26 chickens and 16 ducks, 2 dogs,oh yes and 1 hubby. :D

The tunnel has 2 uses. I grow no end of cuttings and seeds, which i pot on until they can go out in the garden, any surplus i sell on my drive. I house all plants in pots in the pt from mid oct until april, mainly because of the height of our location and we get very high winds. From apr to sept, it's full of produce. I grow loads of toms and sweetcorn in gro bags,(and yes sweetcorn in gro bags really works, it just gets a bit dodgy when it gets to the top) as well as the other veg. You see, i sell produce over the gate, eggs all year, but mainly strawbs june - oct . The strawbs are outside in tyres. [IMG]
[IMG] There's 200 tyres there, that hubby is worried about when it comes to getting rid of them. :D :D

MF, WHY not? :D They're brilliant for drying clothes in.(there are several folk who moved in to a place with a pt and that's all they use them for
Peters, Erm yes, there's still a few spaces in the borders that I still have to fill. [IMG]

It's not mine but I will have to fill it very soon with about 90,000 bedding plants.
