I collected my seed potato order today from the allotment, and was surprised to find that my choice of Maris Peer was not available. Instead I have been given the variety "Nadine".

This would have been my second choice, so I'm not too worried.

Has anyone else had trouble getting Maris Peer ?

My local garden centre has a shelf full of Maris Peer, so don't think there is a shortage of them

I have gone for Maris Piper, Charlotte, Kestrel and a poundland special :hehe:

Not much help I know but I've just stumbled over some maris peer's chitting nicely in the coal cellar, remnants of last years harvest! Not expecting any great shakes but I'll give them a try in potato planters.

    This years efforts........
Dunluce (not in my trial cos they've chitted already)
    International Kidney (Jersey Royals)
    Golden Wonder (crisps?)
    British Queen (For my mum)
    Maris Piper (chips)
Cara (Cos I have an Allotment and why not? )

    Good luck with your spuds!
