Visited today with my U3A Gardening group. A lovely place covering 10acres created in 1890 and still managed privately by the family descendants. The original Jacobean house c1619 with beautiful chimneys

This was sad but fascinating. A fine specimen - a Weeping Silver pendant lime tree

Sadly, lots and lots of dead bumbles around the base of the tree

The original hunting dogs' residence, entrance to kennel and exercise yard
P1030478.JPG one of the many watergarden features in the grounds

Many more things to see, a good 2 hours worth and a tea room with fresh eggs for sale and garden plants too. Well worth a visit,
      jenny

Are those two blokes in pic 2 taking part in a duel?

This must be just down the road from where I work, in Paddock Wood.
