Visited today with my U3A Gardening group. A lovely place covering 10acres created in 1890 and still managed privately by the family descendants. The original Jacobean house c1619 with beautiful chimneys

Love a good tile hung jettied timber framed building, don't mind a Hollyhock too

 

This was sad but fascinating. A fine specimen - a Weeping Silver pendant lime tree

now read this:

one of the many watergarden features in the grounds

Many more things to see, a good 2 hours worth and a tea room with fresh eggs for sale and garden plants too. Well worth a visit,
