Hope he gives you a discount :)

Do you think the no6 is better suited for a woman? .......she doesn't like
anything too heavy, but there is only 200 grams between the two sizes

They will weight the same when full ... if that is going to be too heavy I think you need 2 x smaller ones - that will carry the same amount of crop, but potentially in two separate journeys (without the need to make the first journey until both are full, and everything needed is "harvested", and no need to empty the first in order to go back and reload it - use the second instead. I hope that rambling rabbit makes sense?

Well I don't find mine heavy... Well except when full of spuds or the like... ;) It is roughly the same weight as a bag of sugar when empty but in a more spread out way so it doesn't seem heavy.. If that makes sense.. :blue thumb:

I had a great day in the garden & poly tunnel.. In the tunnel I planted my Red Baron onion sets, a packet of Sutton Broad bean seed I lost & then found again..

I had a really good hoe & weed & then picked the last of my white sprouting broccoli.. I pulled the plants to make room for other crops.. They flowered first and I have had many pickings from them.. Soo sweet & tender..
          [IMG] I

I also had a huge picking from the purple sprouting as well and plenty more to come of the purple too..

Well today I finished tidying up in the tunnel and gave everything a good water & feed.. Starting to tackle the first bed outside the tunnel too this week..

The first of my early potatoes, Rocket, are through in my bags at the bottom of the tunnel..

Sewn two rows of White Gem parsnip, 1 of Purple Haze Carrots & 1 of Sugar-Snax carrots too..

A friend gave me the plant support rings so trying them on the Broad beans as the taller varieties can have a tendency to flop around a bit in the tunnel..

Looking straight down the middle all my bags of early spuds at the bottom behind the peas & in front of the Artichokes purple sprouting bottom right..

An update, Picked two Artichokes already and they were delicious.. Pulling carrots and Beets..

The potatoes and Broad Beans are doing amazingly well.. I have some of the first broad bean pods appearing from the flowers now on the Aquadulce and Epicure.. All getting very exciting now..

I didn't rate them (the one time I grew them). They didn't fare as well as I expect through winter (compared to Aquadulce, despite what the Label said!!, although that's obviously not a problem for you :) ) and I thought the crop yield was not enough, and stooping to pick them each time was something I didn't want to have to repeat - from choice!

Mice ate my Aquadulce plants this year :( and it was a bit late to replant that variety so I bought a couple of packets to try in the Garden Centre [as in "emergency purchase"!!] of Bunyard Exhibition and Masterpiece Green Longpod which I thought worth a try ... and THEN when I got home I Googled for "Best Flavour" and Imperial Green Longpod seemed to be the variety of choice. I'm now planning to grow that next year but ... it got me thinking whether Aquadulce was just good for Autumn sowing or, if I sow in early Spring [as I have always tended to do, as Autumn sowing of Aquadulce means some losses for me in a wet winter - on my Clay that is a "Normal winter"], so I wonder if I should ditch Aquadulce and go for "Best flavour" varieties, and an early Spring sowing, instead.

I think that was one of my more succinct replies :heehee:
