I have Autumn sown Aquadulce for years and always been very pleased growing outside except for bad winters of course.. They have nice flavour I think.. They are Autumn sowing as slow I think.. I did try them on a spring sowing once but the yield was awful and blackfly was dreadful..!!

I haven't grown Epicure before, Spring planting, but have almost caught up with the Aquadulce growing wise and plenty of pods forming,, said good flavour and good cropping so we shall see...

The suttons, well that was an old packet of seed I found in the shed so soaked them and most sank so I planted them... I used to grow them up at the farm as it is so windy there and they fair well in the wind as not tall, but probably won't bother in the tunnel again, just couldn't waste the seed..!!:biggrin:

I have grown Bunyards exhibition but wasn't impressed with the flavour... :dbgrtmb:I haven't grown Imperial long pod, intrigued, you must let me know how they fair what the yield was like and was the flavour good..

Final harvest of Epicure and Aquadulce.. I forgot about weighing them, but I had 2 level trugfulls and then this monster picking..
Overall the Epicure did slightly better than the Aquadulce.. It was easy to tell as Epicure are a darker bean..!

Yours look like they might be the same maker as mine?

                http://www.trugmakers.co.uk/classicPage.html

I bought from him as they were the most reasonable / least Sloane Ranger target market!

I have a No 7 ( or possibly No 8) and a Daffodil (for cut flowers) - £35-£40. They are hefty trugs, but I figure that one journey to the plot, groaning under the weight, is better than two :)

I didn't look after my Mother's very well when I purloined them when she downsized, and it was only when I bought my own that I decided I should not leave them outside all the time! Thus I reckon mine should last a lifetime - my Mother's certainly didn't last two lifetimes :heehee:

I know that now! She had it all my life, never seemed to look after it, and I took it for granted. In fairness it was probably fairly moth-eaten by then, and probably nothing like large enough, nor signed either ... :)
