......or tasted it anyway :blue thumb:

i used to hate this stuff, and i mean HATE. wrong in everyway, but last week at a breakfast in a hotel i had an apiphany. seen some in a little plastic pot amongst the jams, marmalades and honey, and decided to grab a pot.

the last time i tried this what thought was minging filth, was ooooohhhh, around 20 year ago and i nearly threw up. now, i'm not fussy in eating at all (except tripe, now THAT is wrong!! :eeew: ) but marmite??????????

i LOVED it, and i mean LOVED it, i want to marry it, sleep with it, buy it presents, take it to a movie (well, you get the general idea :doggieshmooze:) i bought some at the weekend and just had 4 pieces of toast smothered in the stuff :wub2::wub2: :yahoo:

justt hought i'd share my epiphany :blue thumb: marmite.jpg

    its the future!!

See, there's Marmite, then there's Bovril? Not sure if I like both of them, or none of them:dunno:

I love marmite and bovril on toast, only trouble is the wife thinks I stink when I eat it and wont come anywhere near me. My 2 year old son love it too, but apparently when he eats it he doesnt stink like I do.:th scifD36:

              Bovril for me ....

2 fresh crusty slices of white bread .... lots of butter .... a very thin layer of bovril .... a few slices of mature cheddar cheese .... a handfull of roast chicken flavour crips added to the sandwich .... and a can of ice cold coke ...

              a perfect lunch

:) I too developed a taste after years and have a jar for when the fancy strikes me to have it on toast. We have friends here who love it on bread with cream cheese and buy the biggest jars I have ever seen in my life. :hate-shocked:

We love Bovril, but buy the cubes to make a drink. I also recently bought Bovril gravy ... but it's currently too hot to make gravy .. :heehee:

                      OK ... I'll rephrase it ...

2 fresh crusty slices of non GMO white bread .... lots of organic butter .... a very thin layer of bovril .... a few slices of organic unpasturised mature cheddar cheese .... a handfull of organic roast chicken flavour crips added to the sandwich .... and a marks and spencer's fresh orange juice (with bits) ... (not from concentrate)

                      :)
