We buy all of ours from Lidl when they have them in. T'other half has several of them, along with remote controls systems that turn lights on and off, heaters, TV's, radios .... also from Lidl.

The problem we have is that our neighbour has remote control gates and he turns our heaters, lights, etc, on and off ... :D :D :D

From what I remember from a photo you posted a while ago Waco, your weather station looked like one of the up-market ones that recorded barometric trends, max/min etc. It looked a bit like an Oregon Scientific model. What's the problem with it, and what do you really need?

Oktarine - a good price depends on how good the thermomiter is. I was given one for Christmas. The alcohol has several gaps in it and the metal keeper (or whatever it is called) now has alcohol above it. So it didn't last long.

I would like to buy a mercury one - but I am not sure if you can still get them.

ME mainly - I am too thick to understand it!

there was a general lack of instructions, and I think the battery may need replacing. as to why I need it, at the moment, I don't as I am running out every five minutes to check bruggies and bananas!

The unit flashes if the batteries are low, check the distance the the emitter( the bit that sends the signal to the main unit)is not too far away or has too many obstructions in its path I find mine invaluable, persist with it its worth it if you google the type and make you will probably find the instruction manual on the web
