For the past few days McAfee has been popping up a notification on GC pages.
It began with just one particular page (sorry, can't remember which one) but is now on every page from GC that I look at (red bar at top of picture)

    Maybe something needs looking into?

My money is on it being the ads again. I get frequent but intermittent browser hijack attempts when I visit GC. McAffee is probably detecting and intercepting them on yours. I unfortunately don't have that option as I only have my phone now since I quit the laptop.

I couldn't do without my desktop. I can sit comfortably at it in an upright position and the keyboard is a proper one.

Whilst we were on holiday (just got back) we were given a laptop to use but don't like the keyboard, the pad gets in the way and it's not so comfortable to sit at it with it on a table. I can't use a smart phone because the arthritis in my thumbs would not be too happy. :dunno:

For some reason, looking at all the threads on here that say they are having problems, it seems that desk tops seem to have the least amount of problems.

In the old days that would have referred to the thing that we used to carve our initials in at school. I was a 'bit smarter than the average bear' :heehee: and used to carve the full name of people I didn't like into the desks. :lunapic 130165696578242 5:

The problem is with Mc Afee. That message came up on several good sites I use including BBC so I got rid of McAfee.

So, McAffee gives you a heads up that either a website is sending you malicious content or your browser has been hijacked, and you fix it by getting rid of the very thing that is telling you about it?
