Hi there, have a little problem with my strawberries, they are in large black pots and this is there second year. (6 plants)
There is nasty white foam all under the leaves of all the plants.
Soon as i noticed the foam i kept wiping it off but its still there the next day, is there anything else i can do to keep this nasty bug away? according to google it says

-: High spittlebug populations are often associated with weedy fields, so proper weed control along with other practices encouraging healthy plants are important.

These plants are in pots on the patio and have been well looked after, weeded and dead stalks removed, feed ect  this is only my second year of growing vegetables and fruit so maybe there is something that im not doing or should be doing? is it worth throwing the plants out and replacing them?

No, dont throw them away, just wipe off the spit at the same time making sure you squash the bug in the center thats making it.

As above, by and large they are harmless, worth putting some straw under the plants though as it keeps the fruit off the ground.

The bug is inside the spit, a relativly large yellowish thing that moves slowly.
The spit does no harm and will disappear once the bug is killed.
