Big subject and too much to cover here,

Size of your plot is ok and partial shade is fine.

What is growing on the soil at the moment? You need to lower its fertility if you have previously enriched it.

You will need bare soil if you intend to sow seeds

If you are converting an old lawn, plant plugs are essential. Wild flower seeds will stand no chance at all if you scatter them in grass.

Google "Wildflower seeds" for some suppliers.. The best will also advise you of the type you need for your location.

We got our wildflower mix from here www.tgswildflowers.co.uk they were very quick to deliver and the grass is growing already. Did a lot of research into this and found these to be quite reasonably priced.

Fritilaria, the snakes head ones. My next door neigbour had hundreds of them growing in her meadow.

camassia, and if you can afford it dactylorhiza.
