    OH scratch your eyes out, they are lovely, the only damned mecanopsis I can grow in my lime pit are the horrrid yellow things that self seed everywhere!

    i've got plenty of the yellow ones too ;) ...but i quite like them & so do the bees [​IMG]

    Meconopsis betonicifolia. Himalayan Blue Poppy. Absolutley stunning plant if you can get it to grow but as Waco says they they won't do well on lime or chalk soils. Acid soil, good drainage and dappled shade and they will settle in no bother.

    Seed germination can be erratic so need a bit of patience for this one

    It's lovely.

    I also have plenty of the orange and yellow ones but have no luck with the blue one either.
