I went into Silves today to collect some more Sesbania seeds and picked up a few clusters of Melia berries which had fallen to the ground.

Here's a pic of one I took a few months ago.

If anyone wants to have a go, let me know. As they had fallen to the ground, I assume (perhaps wrongly) they are ready.

PM or e-mail me your details and they'll be on their way to you in the week, perhaps with some other Med things for you to try! [IMG]

Could I have a few LOL, I did have a plant a few years ago but it died the first winter that I planted it out.
I would like to try it in a more protected position.

Of course you can, pete. As I said, they are this year's seeds and have fallen on their own accord. This old man was looking at me like I was cuckoo (I see you smiling) picking up these clusters.

I'll have them off later in the week. Anything else? I have Jacs, Tecomarias, Cercis, wild purple Lupins .... I think you said you don't want the Sesbanias. Haven't been able to get to the Oleanders to see if there are see pods ... have to clamber over builders gravel/sand heaps.

Okay ... only ... promise! It's worth a try ... as I said, they dropped on their own so me'thinks they may be ready.

Did you look in my Country Life? I badly photographed that ??? again and I think you are right with the Ailanthus.

You have some really good places to go on your excursions in to the country, dont you?
The ailanthus maybe right as you say.
Its always difficult from here as things grow and seed so much earlier over there.

Thanks, pete, these are my "holidays" as I don't have one so I really enjoy this .. and sharing it with you guys.

I hope we'll go on a Sunday excursion this weekend as things have been a bit amiss with the building works and t'other half has had to do a few "things" over the weekend when the "crew" are not here.

It may be difficult in the hot summer months, but then I'll try to do mountain trips ... but then that may get boring for some ... never for me!

Morning walnut. Do you mean you want to try the Melia or are you referring to my jaunts? I't's too early for me to be thinking logically! [IMG]
