Meltdown and Spectre, Password vulnerability

    Hi,

    Seems a lot is being made of these two flaws in the computer chips of pcs and smart phones and the chance of having passwords stolen.

    This site gives a current overview and links if you want to follow the detail, plus a handy link to a program to show if you are protected , or not as probably is the case.

    The Always Up to Date Spectre and Meltdown MegaThread - Antivirus / Security / Privacy

    Cannot say I really understand any of the detail, but seems there is little the users like us can do other than wait for the manufacturers etc to supply the updates/fixes, whenever than may be ?

    Anyone know of interim measures we can take to help keep our passwords safe ?
