    These are very slug prone, only open in the sun, and must be the most untidy seedlings ever- but the colours are so bright my phone can't do them justice:-

    Fantastic plants Liz, seem to be a bit out of favour this year as I couldn't find any small plants when I was looking for some to fill a few gaps.
    Had to buy seed instead, but I'm a bit late now.:thumb:

    I always start a seed tray in March as they are so easy to grow. A lot of people won't buy them because the little plants always look as if they're on their last legs. I gave a load to the village fete but they didn't sell, this is what they look like now, and will for the rest of the summer as long as they are deadheaded.
    Then they produce lovely seeds for next year.

    They really cheer a garden up when they are flowering, it's a shame we don't have much sun.

    Yes, know what you mean Liz, they do tend to look almost dead when the suns not out.
