"American pop music legend Michael Jackson died of a heart attack in a Los Angeles hospital, just weeks before he hoped to resurrect his four decade long career with a series of sold-out shows in London.
Jackson was taken to the University of California at Los Angeles medical centre, and paramedics administered cardiopulmonary resuscitation in the ambulance. He arrived at the hospital in a coma and was reported dead about three hours later."

Sad - I like MJ, his music and his amazing dance routines. Saw him live at Wembley Arena on his last UK visit and it was an amazing experience even though his career already seemed to be on the wane.

    There will never be another.

I have just heard the news on the telly.I am in shock,I just can't believe that the 'King Of Pop' is dead.:(

I grew up listening to his music and despite his looks no one of his age group was as good as him, with is dance routines and songs:)

RIP Michael and hope that you are at last finding peace:luv::cry:

He was never one of my favourites but it's sad he's died so young (only 50 ). I wonder whether history will treat him better than the Tabloids did when he was alive.

Very sad to hear. Regardless of the controversies and the "oddities" he indulged in (oxygen tent, chimp etc) I do hope he will be remembered for the amazing music and music videos he made...and the place he has in music history.

Very sad news. Latest is that he died of a cardiac arrest brought on by(prescription) drug overdose

Over the years I have accrued quite a few of his albums and videos which I love playing/watching.

Love him or hate him he was a great entertainer!

Sad... A very tragic but very talented guy.... Maybe verging on the genius...!!! As you say a huge loss, but maybe he has found peace as you say, now....

I was never a fan of him but his music was great and choreography even better. He was a person in his own right ... and world ... I am positive when he went through his facial changes/colour change he was trying to look like his best friend, Liz Taylor.

He is a great loss to the music world but will be remembered forever.

I ve never liked his music or persona. No loss to me or interest other than in the historical sense.

I hope when Paul McCartney goes he will get the same level of media coverage, IMO a farr better talent.
