Some of you may remember I put this tiny rose up for ID a couple of years ago ... but it was never identified so I am trying again.

The shrub is only about 40cm tall and the buds are 1cm big (or should I say small) and the flowers 2.5 - 3cm across and are blood orange/red. A couple of years ago I had an incredible 60 buds/flowers on one stem alone. It has just started to bloom again ...

    Any ideas?

    Thank you in advance. :)

Hello, woo, I knew you would come to my rescue.

I have only just got around to looking at your list.

Looking up Anna Ford, I found this link, and it looks identifcal to my wee rose and the description is spot on, the only difference being the sepals look more bronze on this and mine are green.

    http://www.britishroses.co.uk/anna-ford-2341-0.html

From Roses UK the rose is much more open flowered and definitely orange ..

The others on the link (through Roses UK) are not mine.

So, my dear feathered friend, I will go with Anna Ford based on the British Roses link.

    Thank you ... :luv:

Hello woo. I was still 'looking' and found this Optima Orange bred in Holland and it fits my description but I cannot find a picture of it ...

    http://www.helpmefind.com/rose/pl.php?n=25446"

I bought this rose from a Dutch nursery which has been established here for some 30 years and I frequent. It is where I purchased Oranges & Lemons.

Is this one you have heard of?
