I planted 290 offsets from poundland (I say that incase you guys say thats why lmao) months ago, they seemed to be doing well up until all the rain/dry/rain when I few bolted, due to other life things going on I've not had the time I would like in my little veg patch, today I've started hand weeding them and noticed what looks like Mildew, it looks like the same mildew that got my peas last year, a gray dusty type thing, the leaf looks like its dying back on parts more covered with the bloody stuff.

So what can I do? is it milk n soda type thing or is there something on the market I can buy, if so I'll take a bus over to Wilton garden centre in the morn, as I dont wont to loose that many onions.

I should add I planted three types, two white and one bag of reds, at the mo it seems to be only on the whites!!! are reds less prone to this stuff? if so I'll just go with all reds next year lolz.

    Many thanks, PP:cry3:

I could tell you, but it'll cost a ten pound admin fee....lmao

Joking aside they said Listeren mouth wash watered down, makes sence to me as it kills germs and fungie, and is safe to put in your gob (as such) at the mo I dont know if it worked coz its not stopped bloody raining to look, tbh my lad is due in hozzy for a month starting July 5th so I've kind of given up on this year, unless I can put in some winter stuff after he comes out.

    Hi there.

No use now, but maybe next year try a resistant variety? Last year, my onions got Downy Mildew, so this year I'm trying one called 'Santero'. It claims to be resistant, so I'll post the results later on, probably September.

    Cheers...Freddy
