So we'll be sharing the French white flag production then?

It's got to be a pxxx take.:lollol: They trust the "roast beefs" as much as we trust the "frogs". They've got a complete nuclear defence whereas we can't use ours unless the Americans say we can.:skp: ( The Americans hold the firing codes.) I'm quite happy being in the Union provided that we can defend ourselves. When the Americans say "jump" and we want to use our carriers the French will say "Non". This country has to decide, are we European or are we American.

Perhaps we would be better off following the German principle - realise we aren't a world power and get on with sorting things out for the population, to improve living standards.

We have more in common with Germany than many know...and Germans like the Brits, unlike the majority of the French!

I vote for European. Britain is too small to go it alone now and the USA has a proven track record of looking after number 1 first and retreating into splendid isolation when it suits them.

I vote we stop meddling in world affairs unless they directly affect us, you either go in all guns blazing or dont get involved at all.
As we now dont have any "guns" we need to give it up.

As for making agreements with the French?
Its a well know fact that France agrees with everything in the EU, but when it comes to the crunch they just ignore it.
    So they cant be trusted.

Not saying that maybe we shouldn't take the same approach as them regarding the EU meddlers though.

I'm sure the Yanks are having a bit of a laugh about it all, I mean aircraft carriers with no aircraft etc.
We really have become a joke regarding defence.

It depends on who we decided to use our nuclear weapons on, but basically if we were able to use them on our own, we would probably be annihilated anyway.

As for being European or American?
I suppose being British is not an option then?

The Americans Hold the Firing Codes :skp:.
Bill Clinton, in His Term Of Office Allegedly LOST THE NUCLEAR CODES .
Then, he cannot be held to blame :skp:. as all men know things can fall out your trouser pockets
when you are taking them off .

    music .

I think we are a third world country, and I think it will only get worse.

The so called rich countries of the world have sold out and lost their grip.

The old days of influencing what happens around the world have gone, in fact the "poorer" countries now have more influence over what we do.

Its too late to change things now.

As The Old Saying Goes "Every Dog has its Day". Throughout History this occurs. The Roman Empire,
The Egyptian Empire, Persian Empire, Aztec Empire, to mention a few. not forgetting, The British Empire
Which controlled one Quarter of the worlds land area and population . now we are going to Bed with the French. :(. WATCH THIS SPACE .

I'd wish we'd just acknowledge that we are now a third world country.
So we can stop giving billions away in foreign aid, start looking after our own people and stop taking every waife and stray from foreign countries and treating them better than those born in this country.
That idiot Blair could then have told the Yanks when they invited us to go into Iraq, "Sorry, but we can't afford it." It's been proved that we couldn't. He sent ill-equiped young men to their deaths and he's now a multi-millionaire.
