Mind your own business or alternatives

Hiya
I have some boring slabs forming a path down our little gravel lined side bit. The ground is mostly shade.
I was thinking of putting some kind of mat forming plant between the slabs to join them together, with little soil, I'll have to add a little between the slabs.
Is mind your own business that hard to control? It feels like a good, tough option. The only other thing I can think of is moss but I don't know if it's damp enough :-/

We've got a similar problem, but our is along the slabs, not between them so I was planning on Bergenia ( gets morning sun).

 

Creeping thyme would be good. Bergenia would be too tall for me, Anthony, I need something to go inbetween slabs to walk over, so super low. I'm now considering just moss or perhaps Alchemilla alpina as well.

 

i thought creeping thyme needed full sun rather than shade
