    For a while, I couldn't believe this - the crime - trying to pass on a fake cheque.

    I can understand why people are very angry - but rioting is not IMHO the way forward.

    Everyone needs to pause and think about how the Police Officers can be brought to account. I'm not a lawyer but there must be case for at least negligent manslaughter. One way forward perhaps - crowd funding to pursue a private prosecution - if the authorities there don't act. But seeing the mayor - it looks like he will be doing something.

    I heard that the police said that he was resisting arrest - not supported by the shop video evidence. To me, this alone speaks volumes.

    Well I doubt we will get to see the video so cant really comment.

    Apparently the crime was trying to use a fake $20 note not a cheque.
