Mrs C sowed a pot of mint for me on Saturday, and I got her to just sow them, and leave the pot in the polytunnel - I'm now wondering if that was sufficient to get the mint to germinate? How long after germination should I put the pot out to harden it off?

Also, I would ideally like to get it out of the pot eventually (at least, I think it will be better out of the pot?) - how big do I let it grow before transferring?

Any other hints or tips gratefully received :)

I will just have to keep my fingers crossed then - I must admit that I never thought to buy a pot from the supermarket and plant it out.

I am hoping it will be OK though, as mint is quite bullet-proof isn't it? I recall there being a clump on a bit of wasteland next to the driveway of our old flat, and it kept coming back despite being strimmed and taking all sorts that the weather threw at it.
