I've noticed that the search bar is now hiding some of the previous menu options e.g. "Alerts"

Here is what I mean ...

... just letting you know :)

I see what you mean, and that is wrong. What operating system and browser and version are you using?

I don't get that problem using Firefox, IE and Chrome. The usual advice is to try clearing out your cookies and cache then restart your browser.

I copied them thinking they were all there for me and when I printed it they weren't so I deleted it again. Oh well never mind I can see them in my heading and that is all that is necessary for me. Have a good evening all. Goodnight, God bless.

        Windows 7 Home Pack
        64 bit
        IE9

Cookies and cache get regular clearing via McAfee "QuickClean"; if a bit 'iffy' it gets a double whammy using RegCleaner. Whole system has a weekly clean (McAfee).

moyra, are you saying your search box is the same as Mum's? (i.e obscuring some of the menu item such as Alerts)?

I'm not overly bothered because I still get an "alert" (e.g red notification box); but, in fairness to the team, I just think they should know that :)

Thanks for your help, John; much appreciated

The "Mum, Inbox, Alerts, Log Out" bit should be on the line above, i.e. above the search and not behind it.

Most likely this is an error in the Style File [CSS]. Could be that you have a copy cached from the previous version of GC and it has a now-wrong instruction for the styling for that part. Might be enough to press the REFRESH button whilst holding down the CONTROL key (to force a refresh), otherwise that file needs to be cleared from the cache.

Might also be that your browser version has a bug and is just rendering that bit wrongly - worth upgrading to the latest version of your browser, if there is a newer version (i.e. of IE9, although you could upgrade to IE10 if that is available for your operating system), and seeing if that fixes it - and fingers-crossed that the new version doesn't upset anything else.

              Cache cleared; ctrl+refresh undertaken.

Still the same. (and I really don't want IE10 just yet!)

I just tried IE10 and it doesn't have that problem, here.
