I have 6 or so Collared Doves that are resident close to the house. One of them is extremely bold and, when I appear in the morning, he will leave his roost across the road and come and land on my hand. I now always have to have a few grains of pigeon food in my pocket. My granddaughter of 3 refers to him as Mister Dove - which is appropriate as he seems to boss all the doves around.
Nice pic, Kevin. We have a collared dove we've named 'Alfie', which has been around for several seasons. He isn't quite as bold as yours, but if we're eating outside he will perch on the table to see whether there's anything worth nicking. The cat positively froths at the mouth - but that's all he can do as he doesn't have any teeth. This year Alfie has raised a large family which comes to dine at my expense every single day. If I'm late putting out food, the whole lot of them perch on the fence and peer at me until I go out and feed them.
