    Hello,

I picked the last of my " Salome" daffodils and lots of very nice tulips from my allotment this afternoon.

My wife mixed them together in different vases, when I said to her that daffs and tulips should never be mixed, she said she had heard that but it was "an old wives tale".

    Anyone know the answer?

    Ta!

M-B they say Dont mix cut daffodils in with other cut flowers as the daffodils produce a toxin that kills off the other flowers, don't know if it's true or not.

    UPDATE!

The Daffodils in the mixed vases are over but the Tulips are still going strong!

Tulips in the garden and allotment are putting on "some show."

    Cheers
