Run your lawn more????Do you mean wiseoldowl runs up and down his lawn? You are not suggesting he has a weight problem? [IMG]
Wiseold owl at that size may I suggest a rocket launcher or anti tank weapon. I am sure there is a web site in America somewhere that could send it through the post. Just tell them to label it 'Flower seeds' or something.

Ah, the little dears. These are just a FEW mole deterrents we have which include explosives, poison, traps and a noise machine. As you can see from the bottom right corner, they work!!

I think I'll take Marge's advice and move house.

P.S. The buckets and stones are to protect Alfie, our dog.

Evening WOO. I'm telling you, they'll get a reverse something or other if I ever get one. I passed by the Solar Mole Deterrent this morning and there it was happily buzzing away every 30 seconds and guaranteeing to keep moles away over an area of 700 square metres and there was a flipping great hill just 30 cms away from it. I've stuck an explosive in it now. I don't know if you can get them in UK as they are pretty dangerous but the french just don't care.

I reckon this solar deterrent acts like a homing beacon. I've had more moles since I put that in than I had before............ grrrrrrrr

Am I allowed to say that I think it's a load of merde?

I heard that if you get one of those musical cards that you can buy and put it down the hole with the music playing, that should get rid of them.Failing that moth balls are supposed to help.I wouldn't fancy using explosives but each to their own

Hi Kandyfloss. I reckon if I give them music they'll never go. I think they party all night as it is.

Don't worry about the explosives. They are just little bangers which are triggered when the mole seals up his chimney - after I've exposed it. They sit in the run and are supposed to blow the mole up - there's no risk to the house foundations. Mind you, I've had about 11 go off this last month and still haven't got the blighters. I thought it would be a quicker death than the poison or gas but am having to resort
to them as well now. I've put humane traps in the runs so they've got an even chance.

A note to everyone who is repulsed by all this killing ...... I would really love to let the little creatures live out their lives naturally - and to some extent I do as I don't bother the moles at the end of the garden who live under the trees, but I'm spending hubby's pension money on plants to turn a field into a garden and they keep getting up-ended and then die - so something's gotta give I'm afraid.

I never kill spiders - so I'm not all bad.

    Voila !!

Guess what was in the trap this evening? One of our little furry friends. This one chose to take the easy route via the humane trap..........

I should have given him a wash and brush up for his photo but there wasn't time as he was whisked away for a very long car ride to his new home............

This is a backside view but by now he was camera shy and just wanted to dig a hole somewhere. He is now living happily in the middle of a forest many kms from anyone's garden.

If there is a molehill in the garden tomorrow morning I'm going to open a vein.
