No I havent used them but one place where I used to do garden maintenance (it was large about 15- 20 acres) they used them and each time I visited there were mole hills to clear. Some were beside the solar mole repeller so I would say they do not work somtimes you could see the mole pushing up a hill right beside them, then it was a quick whack with the spade and dig fast

They work for about 30 seconds then the mole gets used to them. They're a complete waste of money. When it's says on the box it doesn't harm the animal in any way it should read 'doesn't do bugger all to the animal'.

I hope you haven't already bought one.

My sister bought one and it was a complete waste of money, actually it seemed to attract more moles into her garden.

Bought 2. 1 didn't work so they sent me a 3rd one. Moles all went. Briefly. Winter came & not enough sun. Moles came back. Now only 1 works ie lights up & buzzs & I still have moles. Maybe if I had three working ones........

I have heard it is possible to stuff their holes up with cotton wool. . . but I'm saying no more ! Cheers, Tony.

We've used them. They seemed to work for a while but then the moles came back. We got the local molecatcher in, and he showed Mr R how and where to set the traps (which kill instantly). Not had any moles for a long time now. My daughter doesn't have mole problems - one of her cats is a dab hand at catching them and lines them up on the lawn!

When I was a kid and we had a very big hillside garden I used to make small explosive charges to bury in the tunnels. The concussion coupled with the smoke either killed them or drove them away.
Sadly due to EU regs/nanny state/war on terror, you can't get hold of one of the two ingredients for the explosives now.
