      I like the tall long irregular trimmed hedge, to me the patterns look like a long line of green elephants.

          Great pics Zigs, have you any history on the house and is it built from sandstone please?

          Don't know much about history, don't know much about geology, don't know much about about the french I took....

          Oh no, that was a song:doh:

          Its built of a local limestone from Ham Hill just above the village. Called Hamstone.

            Know nothing about the history of the family, but they must have bled some peasants dry to build such a place.

                Oh well, that's great news. Nothing so destructive of atmosphere than swarms of grockles all over the place.

                  Yes, I always checkout 'what's on' before visiting anywhere specifically to avoid events that will attract crowds.
