    :)

:) So all that remains for me to do is wish, everybody who entered... "Good Luck".!

Wow, I didn't think I'd picked such a hard theme! :dh:
    Some interesting submissions though.
    My choice is:

    1st.....Victoria Plum: Where there's a wall there's a way.
Lovely clear picture and nice depth.
2nd.....Kathy3: Still years of tread left here.
I like all the cool colours. Makes you want to wander on up the steps.
    3rd.....roders: Stoned.
Interesting angle, you could create your own solar system with more stones like those.

    True! :) :)

No.2. Victoria Plum. __________ New Life on Old Stone.

Stones are dead old, contrasted by the emergent new! :gnthb:

1 - Wall on Scafell Pike - Kindredspirit Just love the texture here. I used to get kids to sketch stone walls like this as an exercise in observation and texture

2- Still Years of Life - Kathy3 Meets the brief very well. Stones, very obviously old

3 - Lots of Old Stones - Woo Hard to find a bigger heap of 'old stones' ! :-)

Have to say that Stone Nest really grabbed my attention and I think it's a cracker and one of the best 'photos' this month (would be brilliant IMHO if cropped to the chook) but I'm a stickler to sticking to the brief, and it wasn't really 'stony' enough in subject for me. Sorry Mandy.

I think this theme was particularly difficult, so it is interesting to see what people have found to photograph.

    1. Alana - Fossil (My brother used to take me fossil hunting in Lyme and it reminds me of the excitement I felt then)

    2. Naylors Ark - Stone nest

    3. Kindredspirit - 360 million years ago
