Monthly Photo Comp June 2011 Votes..!!

    :thumbsup: Well here we are again everyone.. The end of another month & you all know what that means.!!

    This is the more serious of our monthly comps where we see some superb photography.. :thumbsup: This month has seen such a good number of very interesting entries..
    Voting will close at 11.59pm Friday 8th July 2011 ..
    ..!! :dbgrtmb::WINK1: So all that remains for me to do is wish, everybody who entered... "Good Luck".!

    HERE is a link to this months photos to help you decide..

    Users Vote Guidelines below:-
    1. Competitors cannot vote for any of their own photographs.

    2. Please vote on a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place basis with 1st place carrying 5 points, 2nd place 3 points and 3rd place 1 point - Please give a short explanation as to why you voted for each photo..

    NO VOTES FOR 2, 1ST PLACES ETC.

    3. Votes should be cast within five (5) days after this thread starting..
    All members of the forum get a vote, not just those who've submitted pictures..

    The Winner of the competition chooses the theme for the next but 1 competition, please keep it separate from the other comp theme. So put your thinking caps on in case you are the winner.

    Lots of lovely pics.

    1st. Alana - Sunlit. I just loved this one when I saw it - the gorgeous colour of the leaves in the sun and one of my favourite plants.

    2nd. Lyn - Hosta. What a lovely close up of a leaf with it's pattern.

    3rd. Marley. Skin and bones. Bit spooky but very poignant too.

    1st Wolfiekate- Lily leaf - Lovely leathery texture.
    2nd roders- Sambucus(Purple Elder)-I know how difficult it is to get a nice photograph of this plant.
    3rd Lyn- Hosta- I like the shapes made by the veins.

    Some very lovely images here and difficult to decide but these three stood out for me ...

    1st ... Alana ... Exotic (because it truly is)

    2nd ... Marley ... Skin & Bones (unique but fits the brief perfectly)

    3rd ... Shiney ... No Colour Prejudice (I love these Geraniums and the grouping is perfect against the background)

    1st - Keinnaf - Heucher - lovely colours and the rain droplets add interest

    2nd Lyn - Acer - beautiful leaves - who needs flowers

    3rd - Keinnaf - Ferns - good composition

    1st Shiney - Spot the hole. Well, I didn't! Such a perfect hosta!

    2nd Alana - Sunlit. Beautiful light and depth of field.

    3rd Roders - Leaves and feathers. The bird is so nicely framed by the tree.
