Monthly Photo Comp May 2010 Votes...!!

    [​IMG]Well here we are again everyone.. The end of another month & you all know what that means.!!:D

    Voting time again..!!! [​IMG]

    :) This is the more serious of our monthly comps where we see some superb photography..:thmb:

    :) This month it has seen a good number of entries, so it should be back to being hard to choose just three....! :)

    Voting will close at Midnight on Sunday 6th June 2010 . I will leave the voting open the extra time a it is a holiday week...!!     :dh:

     :) So all that remains for me to do is wish, everybody who entered... "Good Luck".!

    Users Vote Guidelines below:-

    1. Competitors cannot vote for any of their own photographs.

    2. Please vote on a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place basis with 1st place carrying 5 points, 2nd place 3 points and 3rd place 1 point - Please give a short explanation as to why you voted for each photo..

    * The photograph with the highest points wins.
    NO VOTES FOR 2 1ST PLACES ETC

    3. Votes should be cast within three days after this thread starting.

    All members of the forum get a vote, not just those who've submitted pictures.


    The Winner of the competition chooses the theme for the next competition, please keep it separate from the other comp theme. So put your thinking caps on in case you are the winner. :wink:

    1st place: Roder's 'I promise'.

    A wonderful photo - technically very good, but also beautiful and a bit quirky. In addition, it fulfils the brief - 'buds of May '- precisely.

    2nd place: Marley Farley's 'Poppy you heartbreaker'.

    Lovely photo with a nice element of fun.

    3rd place: Dave W's 'clematis'. Nothing like a montana to say 'budding'!


    PS I enjoyed looking at all the lovely entries.

    My reasons are the same for all 3 photographs, and that is that whereas there are some truly brilliant shots entered, ...... my selections all captured the essence of the theme title of the competition wonderfully...... Buds in May .....about to burst into life
