Mum was ok, only a short one, they had a Horse friend who let me stroke him and brush the flies away.

Oh Jiffy, pleeeaaase!!!!! It has to be ENGLISH Mustard for Beef............French "Mustard" is, to me, more like a thick Sauce and doesn't deserve the name Mustard!!:nonofinger::heehee:

Jiffy, that cow's udder disturbs me - I cant' get it out of my mind. Surely it's cruel to breed an animal with something like that? It must be so uncomfortable and her life span reduced because of it?

The Holstien is breed to milk, milk and milk, but they can be very expensive to keep and care for, a bit like a f1 car, if you can and care about them with lots for TLC they can be a good cow, but if you just take, take and take they will run out of stream
The fresian is a good all rounder with good TLC she can prouduce and breed very well

Yes it can be uncomfortable (some cows will have problems walking), but some cows after giving birth will give alot of milk for a few weeks then slow down a bit which then the udder will get a bit smaller

Yes and no, if you take good care of them they should have a long happy life
