Here the frost was still on the shaded bits of my garden after lunch when I was doing a bit of pottering. Frost forecast here tonight to -4, but better over the week-end. Brrrrrrr - well it is the time of year for them :D

Brrrrrrr - this is the time I thank goodness for central heating. Just been out and its freezing hard. But today was gorgeous (albiet cool) - blue sky and sunshine all day. This is when a SSW facing garden and patio doors come into their own - sun may be low, but it shines right in.

Greenhouse heater is getting well used this week. :D

It was minus 2 C when I got up this morning, managed to make 7 C by midday.
Most of my tender stuff, bananas etc. look pretty awful now. :(

Today the frost didn't clear all day except in a few places - so could only clear a few leaves. I still got a lot to do in the sorting out league, so I took a look at the month's forecast. :(

I shall enjoy the sunny frosty days whilst I can, by the end of the week, its strong northerly and easterly winds and snow on high ground. The good news, after a week of unsettled cold weather, the south westerlys return - now lets see if they're right I hope :D

I woke up on Saturday morning in Barnsley. By heck there was a frost there.

Driving home the temp had risen to 6.5 until I got to Cambridge it as 3, then 8.5 by the time I got home.

[Thinks] HA I am so clever I have posted my first pictures...
Here are some of my fuschias on the 14th November:-

They are all in the greenhouse now, cut back. I am really hoping they will survive, the first 2 are cuttings from last winter, the last one is
called 'Voodoo' and this was it's third year, the cutting at the side is 'Bella Rosella.'
If these pictures are too big I will have to find ways of reducing size...
Frost -6c outside greenhouse, but now warmer again, 8c in the garden!
