    Hi all,

As explained in another post I’m going to buy some trough planters and plant them up with lavender and have had some great advice on how to do this.

In preparation for this I had a small lavender plant which I added to a pot as a trial run. I had some perlite in my shed and was told if I mixed some of this in it would help.

The plant was doing well in its original plastic pot that it originally came in and was starting to out grow it so that’s when I decided to upgrade it to its new home in the larger pot. It’s been in the new pot about a month or so. My question is does it look ok to you or is there something I need to do?
Are the lighter coloured leaves normal as to me it looks like it might be drying out… see photos attached

It looks to me like it has new growth on the tips.

If it’s Hidcote, they don’t need that extreme sandy soil as French lavender. It needs months to grow. I would however recommend a place where you can plant it. Lavender planting time is April up to mid May when they start growing.

Looks perfectly fine to me, if a little behind. The silver leaves are quite normal at that stage, it will turn greener later. Here's mine now, just starting to flower.. You can see bits of silver foliage in the middle.

..nothing to worry about at all.
