Had all the windows open yesterday to let in some welcome dry air. Everything has just been soooo damp after all that rain, even the ceiling has got mold on it.

So just settling down & was disturbed by loads of high pitched whining. Spent the next hour charging around on a killing spree.

Surrounded by water here, the mossies have had a great breeding session.

Got the windows shut now but its too hot. Can't win this year.

I had that two years ago, Mosquitoes whining in the stair well and then in the bedroom when you're about to go to sleep. I opened the loft door and quickly shut it as the whining of Mosquitoes was almost deafening. But I haven't been troubled this year as yet.........now waiting for the sound!!!!!:runforhills:

Mossies are bad but that's nothing compared to realising you have a Black Widow in your bed!

use one of the holiday plug things in each room and may resort to spray when you are out side

One of the dirty boogers bit me the other night and I managed to swat it. It was HUGE!! There have been a few more about but not bothering us too much. Really annoying when they fly around your head!!

Deet is great. Don't buy the jungle strength one, though. It can eat through your shoes.

Also, the plug-ins (which work in the same way as ordinary air fresheners) help a lot.

Mozzies just love me, one big scrumptious meal :snork:, got 5 bites in a couple of hours yesterday :rolleyespink:

One thing that does work extremely well is Avon's Skin So Soft cream, apparently the army use it because its so effective!!! or so I've been told (on several occasions). But I don't have any at the moment hence I get chomped on

'Skin So Soft': the paratroopers' choice.
