Tell MIL that I love it too (a lot of hard work put in there) and please ask what she does to make her Bergenias bloom so well. Thanks Pip. Ours get worse every year and haven't had any flowers for the past 3-4 years. What is in the pot in the middle that is blooming? Just love that red Acer!

Hi Kedi-Gato, sorry this reply is so late,I`ve just trolled through and found your post.

The begonias seem to do well every year with just a feed of regular miracle grow.

The acer was given to her by her daughter as she was moving to Spain and didn`t think it would survive in the extreme heat of Almeria.

The plant in bloom in the middle is a peris or fireflame as I think it is commonly known.
