In Spain it's celebrated on the 1st Sunday in May every year! Years ago, not long after moving back to the UK, I suggested to my wife that we might go & visit her mother & spend a week in Cuenca! Then we did the same the following year & that became a sort of 'tradition' for us. We went back quite a few times to visit her for Mother's Day.

Though as she died 6 years ago we haven't been back since. My wife would like to take our eldest granddaughter, who will be 16 in a couple of weeks time, to visit Cuenca again, perhaps in May this year during the half-term holidays. The last time she was there was when she was only 3 years old!
