    Hello All.
Not sure if to post in this forum or the general.
I have most of my overwintered fuchsias in the greenhouse and they are just starting to show signs of small buds here and there. Now they get the natural light and I keep watering down to absolute minimum as normal.

This year however I have 7 fuchsias stored in garage in cardboard boxes and in the dark. They also are only just starting to show signs of life. I do not know if to still leave them in the dark or move them to say a unheated conservatory/greenhouse to give them more light as they are showing signs of being "active" but still keep watering to minimum, almost dry soil.
    Thank for info
    Peter

I think now is the time to fetch them back into light Peter, as now is the time most plants will start to 'trigger' for spring and keeping them in the dark will just retard them. I would be inclined to fetch them into your conservatory first as this will be less of a shock for them. Give them a couple of weeks then move them to the greenhouse. Start to water them more but don't saturate the soil until they put on some good top growth.

There is a thread about Fuschias in the 'Other Plants' section if that would be of interest to you. :)

Hi Sheal. Thanks for the info, I have transported them to conservatory as suggested and then later into greenhouse.I see Monday & Wednesday night in Wiltshire at least they are saying 1- to -2 frost so good call not to put them in greenhouse.
I am just going to look at the post on fuchsias in Other Plants.
      Thank you
      Peter
